Introduction

The term system refers to a collection of entities that collectively work together to achieve a certain goal. An entity can be a person, a place or an object. Some examples of systems include the digestive system, the respiratory system and the educational system among others. Systems are made up of smaller systems known as subsystems that are assembled together to become a whole. For example, a school can be a system with students, teachers, accounts department and the administration as subsystems. The school system itself is a subsystem of the ministry of education.
