LESSON CONCEPT: OCCURRENCE AND EXTRACTION OF IRON
RATIONALE: Extraction of metals is a very important concept to candidates as it exposes them to real activities and processes that take place during mining. Students also come across various metals in their real life and that makes it important for them to understand the different methods of extraction and also their uses. The topic metal has also been tested year in year out in the national examination even though its one of the difficult to teach concept and it is an area which has been poorly perfomed.
