More on derived derivatives

Examples of derived quantities, area, volume density, click on each tab to learn more.

Density

Density of wooden cube would be derived by dividing the  of the cube  by its volume.
 Mathematically
 Density = Mass/Volume
 SI symbols = kg/m3

Volume

Volume of Cube derived by multiplying length x width x height.
 Mathematically
 Volume = length x width x height
 SI symbol = m3

Area

Area of a Square is  derived by multiplying (squaring) the two lengths.
 Mathematically;
 Area = length x width
 SI symbol=m2
