AGENDA
These are points to be discussed in a meeting. They help in guiding the person chairing the meeting to systematically arrange the time for discussing each point in order of priority. Agenda are supposed to be distributed to the members present before the meeting.
When writing an Agenda:
- Determine the matter that needs to be discussed in relation to the group objectives.
- Decide whether the matter need to be discussed or it is a mere announcement.Announcements can be pinned on the notice boards or be made orally at the assembly.
- Consider the length of the meeting.
- Consider how the matter to be discussed concerns the people invited to the meeting.
- Decide whether there are any subsidiary matters that need brief discussion.
- The agenda then should be clearly stated. Agenda statements go along with notification of meetings.
