1. Draw the line y = ½x − 3 (red).
2. Draw the line x = -2 (green).
3. The line x = -2 is shown as a dotted line because the inequality (>) does not include x = -2, and the area to the right of  the line x = -2 is shaded (green).



The points that satisfy the equation and the inequality are points on the red line and to the right of the green line i.e. points for which x > -2 and y > -4.
