Introduction

Communication is a two way process of reaching mutual understanding, in which participants not only exchange information but also create and share ideas and messages. Communication includes writing, talking and non verbal communication (facial expression,gestures and body posture).  Different African communities had various ways of passing information/ messages. these methods varied from different communities depending on geographical location. some communities used messengers, drum beating, horn blowing, fire and smoke signal, screams and cries e.t.c
