Vulcanicity refers to all the varous ways by which solid,liquid and gaseous materials are forced into and out off the earth crust and onto its surface.

Types of vulcanicity

1. Extrusive vulcanicity

3. Acid lava cones.

3. Complex cone or stratified and parasitic.

4. Ash and Cinder cones.

5. Plug-dome volcano,spine,plug volcano.

6. Volcanic plug.

7. Composite cone or strato volcanoes.

8. Volcanic depressions.

9. Hot springs,steam jets and geysers.

EFFECTS OF VULCANICITY TO HUMAN ACTIVITIES

1. Volcanic soils are fertile and good for agriculture.

2. Features formed through volcanic activies attract tourist for example snow capped peaks of mt kenya.

3. Volcanic activity helps in geothermal steam.

4. Volcanic rocks are valuable as building stone and road material.

5. Volcanic mountains are catchment areas, sources of rivers and spring and thickly forested.

6. Loss of life.

7. Pollution of environment.

8. Destruction of properties.
