ASSONANCE
This is the repetition of vowel sounds in words of the same line in a poem. This recurrence of vowel sounds may or may not be systematic.
Example
Crows on the wing!
What grace as they swing,
Rising and diving ...................repetition of the vowel sound /ai/
Like a fish in the billows,.................... repetition of the vowel sound /I/
In the willowy air;
Or softly as feathers
From broken pillows.
