MULTI-TASKING OPERATING SYSTEMS
This type of operating systems allows a single CPU to execute more than one program apparently at the same time.
The operating system schedules the tasks to the processor by allocating them time slices.
The CPU then switches its attention between the tasks as directed by the operating systems
